About Digital Ship Cyprus 2005
Digital Ship Cyprus is a two day conference and exhibition to be held at The St Raphael Resort, Cyprus on Wednesday and Thursday January 26-27, 2005. The event is in association with Cyprus Shipping Council ICT Working Group.
The conference is produced by Adonis Violaris, manager of communications (IT) and public relations with Hanseatic Shipping in Cyprus, and includes experiences with ship security alert systems - a review of maritime broadband, including developments at Inmarsat, Connexion by Boeing, Intelsat and Telenor.
There will be a session on crew calling technologies; computer based training and electronic purchasing; and live demonstrations of Inmarsat Fleet, ship-shore e-mail and ship security alert systems.
The first Digital Ship Cyprus was held in January 2004, and attracted 145 shipping company delegates from 38 different shipping companies, and 220 speakers and delgates in total.
