Nera has been actively involved in the development of maritime satellite communication equipment since the early 1970's. Since its first delivery of Inmarsat A equipment, Nera SatCom has introduced successive product generations for the Inmarsat-C, M, B, mini-M, GAN systems, and now for the maritime Inmarsat Fleet system. Nera SatCom delivered its first Inmarsat gateway to Telenor in 1982 and has since delivered approximately 30 additional gateways in 14 countries.
