Piers Cunningham is head of maritime market management at Inmarsat. Capt. H. Subramaniam is principal emeritus, LBS College of Advanced Maritime Studies and Research, Mumbai. He has served at sea for ten years followed by 35 years of teaching experience including commmand of three maritime training institutes -TS Rajendra, TS Chanakya & LBS College in Mumbai.

He was given ‘Man of the year Award’ in 2001 by Sailor Today magazine for ‘His conception and implementation of the Indian National Database of Seafarers (INDos)’ and the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in 2002 by ‘Marine World’ magazine. He is the author of eight textbooks, on a variety of subjects, on the operation of merchant ships. He was the Master of the Company of Master Mariners of India for two years. He is the Chairman of the Nautical Institute India (West) Branch.

Bhupesh Ghandi is VP of marketing for Transas Marine, and is a former master mariner from the Ministry of Surface Transport, India. His career has included heading an IT venture to establish the first Digital Marketplace of Indian Shipping Industry, as well as positions at Ispat Industries, IMS Ltd, Teledata Marine Systems and IndiaFirstLogistics. He has also been a distinguished teacher at LBS CAMSAR, T.S.Rajendra and T.S.Chanakya in India.
