INTRODUCTION

There is enormous interest in LNG shipping, since it is a growing, hi-tech and hi-expense industry sector.

But there is also growing concerns, particularly about terrorist attacks and from US communities close to LNG tanker routes and unloading ports.

LNG vessels are also disrupting many US recreational ocean businesses, since many regulatory authorities ban any maritime transport within half a mile of a LNG vessel for security reasons.

This one day conference at Norshipping covers the latest technology and techniques for LNG Shipping, including new vessel designs, development of LNG vessels for the Arctic, new LNG tank gauging technology, propulsion technology and re-liquifing LNG which has vapourised.
