DNV    http://www.dnv.com Services for managing risk DNV has a system called Nauticus Onboard. It is comprised of three levels of service. DNV Exchange Basic gives owners access to basic information including class status and surveys. Exchange Member also gives access to scanned drawings of the vessel and the ability to track information outside of the class. Exchange Nauticus is linked to 3-D models and can be used to create “virtual” images of the vessel, allowing surveyors to examine aspects of the vessel before they even step onboard. Sensitive areas can thus be quickly spotted using the model, leading to cost savings in identifying problems. DNV Navigator is a new tool to help shipmasters fulfil the complexities of shipboard reporting by providing an easy to use interface to the forms and checklists that are required.
