Similar to websites such as Friends Reunited, that lists all the schools in the country and lets you find out what people you went to school with are doing, this site has a database of vessels that you may have worked on. You simply fill out a personal profile explaining what you are doing and giving contact details, then find your ships and the dates you were working. If any of your former colleagues have registered you can find view their contact information and send an email. There is a message board for sharing experiences and a few old memories, and you can organise reunions by contacting everyone through the site. You can also add your own ships if they don’t have them on the list. This service basically relies on the number of people who register for it to be useful so it is in everyone’s interest to sign up, and anyway it’s free.
