14,000 vessel's classification information online
Lloyds Register has pursued an approach targeted towards providing timely information, through an Internet only route. Without the need to distribute software updates or deliver information separately to every user, ClassDirect allows everyone involved access to the same information as soon as it is available.
ClassDirect aims at a turn around time of 48 hours for survey status updates, with additional details following after 10 days. Additional vessel information can be requested and added to the vessel summary screen in as little as three hours.
ClassDirect now links 3,700 users world-wide and covers 14,000 vessels.
Future additions include a searchable approved suppliers database with contact details.
This is also the place to find the latest classification news and information including new SOLAS regulations and reducing port state control detentions.
