The website is both a source of information and news about regulation, safety guidelines and environmentally friendly practices and a forum for encouraging improvement in standards and safe operation. There is a large database of relevant news, and in the library a useful section of OCIMF opinions and comments on a wide range of issues from double hull tankers to the latest EU directives. Information papers cover subjects such as corrosion and control of drugs and alcohol. The newsletters can be downloaded going back several years. The site is fairly data heavy but well presented and regularly updated.
