Stratos says it is the first company to offer its Iridium customers the option to instantly provision their Iridium phones online, via a direct interface with Iridium provisioning systems.

The system is available now for post-paid Iridium services and is expected to support prepaid Iridium services in the first half of this year. Access and usage of the Stratos Dashboard for Iridium is free to Stratos partners and end users.

Stratos will also offer a new e-learning module for customers to familiarise themselves with the product. The module offers users a self-paced overview of the capabilities and set up of the Dashboard.

Stratos says that it already has plans to introduce the next version of the Dashboard later this quarter, which will feature a complete traffic overview and added credit-management options to minimise potential financial risk.
