Zeatec Group buys Adveto

ECDIS and navigation systems company Adveto reports that it has been acquired by the Zeatec Group. Both companies are based in Sweden.

The STM (Sea Traffic Management) validation project reports that it has completed the first operational tests of its integrated vessel information sharing system with shore centre manufacturers, facilitating data exchange beet two different maritime IT manufacturers’ systems.

Adveto begins work on ECDIS G8

Swedish maritime technology company Adveto has announced that it has commenced development of its new ECDIS platform, called ECDIS G8.

The EU-backed Sea Traffic Management (STM) project reports that it has entered its second procurement phase and is currently searching for an additional ECDIS manufacturer to get involved with the initiative to further test interoperability between various systems and providers.

ECDIS suppliers deliver 225 STM systems

Three of the industry’s largest ECDIS suppliers, Transas, Wärtsilä SAM Electronics and Adveto, have supplied the first Sea Traffic Management-compatible onboard equipment, with 225 such systems being made available to the EU-backed project.

NG Explorer updates software on ECDIS concerns

The vessel National Geographic Explorer has had its ECDIS software upgraded during a recent visit to Scandinavia, in the wake of recent IHO concerns over display issues with ECDIS systems.

Swedish company Adveto says that it has secured a new deal for ECDIS OEM licences with a value of 2.5 million SEK (approximately US$372,000) under a cooperation agreement with ChartWorld.
