CMA CGM in vessel AI partnership

The CMA CGM Group has announced a collaboration agreement with San Francisco-based startup Shone, to examine use cases for artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in maritime transportation.

CMA to roll out ERP system to 170 ships

Container shipping line CMA Ships (part of the CMA CGM group), based in Marseille, France, has agreed a deal to implement the PAL e3 maritime ERP software package from Singapore-based MariApps Marine Solutions across its fleet.

CMA CGM is to extend the use of the Tekomar XPERT engine diagnostics system already in use on its own ships to the APL fleet, newly acquired by CMA CGM following the closing of its purchase of APL parent company Neptune Orient Line in September 2016.

Marlink reports that it has been contracted to implement the KeepUp@Sea IT operational platform from fellow Norwegian company Palantir on 110 vessels for shipping company CMA CGM.

French ship owner CMA CGM has agreed a deal with Wärtsilä to supply Nacos Platinum Integrated Navigation Automation Control Systems for a series of three 'mega-class' container vessels being built at the HHIC-Phil yard in Subic Bay, Philippines.

The CMA CGM Bougainville has become the first container ship in the world to be equipped with TRAXENS technology, which transforms containers into smart connected objects, the company reports.
