Starter kit launched for condition monitoring

Royston begins engine diagnostics programme

Diesel power company Royston has introduced a new engine diagnostics, health check and consultancy service to add to its traditional marine engine service and repair business, investing in new technology and equipment, and enhancing its software capabilities to provide analysis of engine and condition monitoring data.

Caterpillar Marine Asset Intelligence has announced a new project with maritime software company SpecTec that will see the companies work together to integrate their applications, with the aim of optimising ship maintenance procedures.

JX Ocean Co. is to implement ClassNK’s CMAXS LC- A machinery condition monitoring and automatic diagnostic system aboard the Eneos Spirit, a 310,000 dwt tanker.

Radio Holland reports that it has been awarded a 10-vessel Managed Service Agreement (MSA) from ALP Maritime Services BV, part of the Teekay Offshore group, to support the navigation and communications systems on board its ships.

Wärtsilä and Rederiaktiebolaget Eckerö have extended their long-term maintenance agreement for Eckerö's entire fleet of five vessels, which will see Wärtsilä extend the use of its digital maintenance concepts.

Norwegian marine geophysical company PGS has extended its non-exclusive service agreement with Radio Holland for navigation and communication services onboard nine seismic vessels in its global fleet.
