GNS has launched its new Voyager FLEET INSIGHT (VFI) system, an application which leverages four years of data collection and analysis by the company to assist ship owners and managers in identifying exactly what navigation data they are buying, how much they should be paying, and where they may be wasting their money.

Norway-based offshore operator SolstadFarstad has agreed a new deal with maritime technology provider GNS to fulfil all of its digital and paper navigation requirements, as part of a fixed-price bundle contact.

Simrad has launched its ECDIS ONE subscription service, a package that includes requirements scoping, planning consultancy, ECDIS hardware, system commissioning, service support and type-specific ECDIS training for a single monthly fee.

Nautisk reports that it has improved its FlatFee service, initially released in 2016, with the inclusion of digital publications and Flag State Regulations in addition to ENCs.

NAVTOR has revealed that take up of Pay As You Sail (PAYS) ENC licensing among its customers has now surpassed 80 per cent of all subscribers, with the option having first been introduced by the company in 2012.

UKHO warning on counterfeit charts

The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) says it has observed an increase in the number of counterfeit versions of ADMIRALTY charts and publications in circulation, and is re-issuing a warning over the dangers these fakes pose to the safety of vessels, crew and cargo.

DNV approval for Neptune PAYS ENCs

Chart distributor Nautisk has received DNV approval for its Neptune Pay As You Sail (PAYS) solution, which allows users to access global ENCs on their onboard ECDIS systems, whilst only paying for those they actually use for navigation.
