During Stress Awareness Month[i] Hanseaticsoft is recommending that shipping companies take a fresh approach to mental wellbeing and make use of technology to support the mental health of seafarers.

In light of the ongoing pandemic and the challenges associated with shipping, the Singapore government has further accelerated its ongoing activities to take a leading role in the digital transformation of the maritime industry. The government strongly recommends shipping companies take action to digitalise their processes and will grant funding for companies that choose innovative solutions.

Hanseaticsoft has integrated Microsoft’s Power BI into its fleet management system, Cloud Fleet Manager (CFM), to offer customers enhanced insights into their operational data and drive a data culture across the organisation to improve business decision making.

COVID-19 drives digital technology demand

A recent study by McKinsey has highlighted that responses to COVID-19 have speeded up the adoption of digital technologies by several years and suggests many of these changes could be here for the long haul.

To mark World Mental Health Day on 10th October, Hanseaticsoft is urging shipping companies to ensure seafarers have good connectivity at sea so that they are not left isolated from family and friends, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

German-based maritime software provider Hanseaticsoft has announced that its cloud-based planned maintenance solution has been certified by DNV GL, highlighting its compliance with all recognised industry standards. This module was also recently certified by Lloyd’s Register.
