Rolls-Royce has signed a contract worth about £25 million with the ship building company Kleven in Norway for design and supply of ship equipment to two new Hurtigruten polar cruise vessels, with an option for two additional vessels, to include a complete redesign of the ship bridge environment with a Rolls-Royce Unified Bridge.

NAVTOR has reported that the entire Hurtigruten fleet has signed up to use its ENC Service.

Fidelio equips Hurtigruten

German IT provider Fidelio Cruise has replaced shipboard systems on two Hurtigruten vessels and plans to complete similar installations on the other ten ships in the Norwegian coastal cruise company’s fleet by the end of 2014.

Wi-Fi connectivity for Hurtigruten

Hurtigruten, Norway's coastal shipping service and cruise line, has deployed a new mobile network based on the Aruba Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture from Aruba Networks, to deliver Wi-Fi and internet services to employees and passengers.
