JRC/Alphatron Marine has launched two new products for the bridge electronics market, introducing their ProLine packages, consisting of a range of navigation equipment, as well as a new ready-to-assemble version of its existing AlphaBridge integrated bridge system.

MOL tests real-time shore access to VDR data

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), in collaboration with Japan Radio Co (JRC) and JSAT MOBILE Communications, reports that it has successfully tested a new system to share shipboard data contained in the Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) with shore based offices, connecting the ship with shore via Inmarsat Fleet Xpress.

Alphatron upgrades ECDIS training lab

Alphatron Marine has upgraded the ECDIS training facility at its headquarters in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, with new systems for seafarer training.

Alphatron Marine reports that it has completed the delivery of its AlphaBridge navigation system to the vessel Egbert Wagenborg, a multi-purpose open-top ice strengthened vessel, named after the company’s founder.

Seabulk tug gets AlphaBridge

Alphatron Marine reports that it has delivered its AlphaBridge tugboat console system to the RT Trident, owned by Seabulk Towing of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

Maritime navigation technology companies Transas and Japan Radio Company (JRC) have announced a new strategic partnership that will see the two companies work together on research and development, product distribution and project collaboration.

JRC and Alphatron Marine have completed the delivery of integrated bridge systems to the double ended passenger ferry Texelstroom, built at La Naval Shipyard in Bilbao, Spain.

Lake Express gets new JRC radar
