Hartmann’s fleet on XChange

Marlink has landed a contract with German ship operator Hartmann Reederei to supply standardised Ku-band VSAT services to its 74 vessel fleet.

Stena Line has implemented a hybrid communications system from Marlink to provide improved free internet connectivity for passengers on seven ferries serving Norwegian, Swedish and Danish routes.

Communications upgrade for German tankers

German tanker owner and manager Ernst Jacob is to install VSAT and FleetBroadband across its fleet of 15 tankers, following an agreement with Marlink.

Marlink reports that it is to introduce new C-band services on the iDirect platform, utilising DVB-S2 with Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) technology on regional, multi-regional and global maritime C-band beams.
