Nautisk and Furuno ink partnership

Nautisk has announced a new partnership with Japan-based marine electronics firm Furuno Electronics, which will see the companies work together on the development of new products combining their respective experience in the software and hardware sectors.

Nautisk reports that it has added on-demand chart printing services for South America to its portfolio, with the launch of a new Print on Demand Location (PODL) service on the continent.

Nautisk in Korean partnership

Maritime navigation company Nautisk has announced a partnership with the Korea Environmental Science & Technology Institute (KESTI), which will see the Korean company offer Nautisk’s digital navigation products and services to its regional market.

Nautisk has announced a new partnership with SRH International to offer its leasing package for dual ECDIS and ENCs to SRH customers.

NaviPlanner adds port data

The NaviPlanner system from Nautisk is to be improved with the inclusion of better port data following a new partnership with Shipping Guides Ltd.

Norway’s Havforskningsinstituttet (Institute of Marine Research) is to roll out Nautisk’s NaviTab system across its fleet of research ships, an online library system which makes hundreds of maritime publications available on one hand-held device.

Nautisk has confirmed that it will offer electronic navigational charts (ENCs) free of charge to customers purchasing a new digital voyage planning package consisting of its NaviPlanner and NaviTab services.

Nautisk has announced that it is working with MarineMTS on a new system to provide automatic ENC updates to vessels sailing with ECDIS, using the vessels’ shipboard communications.

Nautisk reports that it has improved its FlatFee service, initially released in 2016, with the inclusion of digital publications and Flag State Regulations in addition to ENCs.
