Navico Holding, parent company to the Simrad brand of maritime navigation systems, has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire ECDIS manufacturer MARIS (Maritime Information Systems) from The Grieg Group.

Navico has updated its Simrad brand Broadband Radar software development kit (BRPC SDK) to allow OEM and third party developers to integrate the technology with their own applications.
