RH Marine expands navigation portfolio

Dutch company RH Marine has integrated an optical bearing device (OBD) in WECDIS, the company’s own digital chart system for military purposes.

Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine has released a major upgrade to its VisionMaster FT bridge software. VMFT11 includes several key updates that support safety of navigation, including enhanced bridge alert management, an improved user interface and secure data exchange onboard ship and between ship and shore.

Furuno introduces new Radar series

Furuno has introduced its next-generation series of IMO-compliant Radars, the FAR22X8BB series available in 12kW or 25kW X-Band, 30kW S-Band, or 250W Solid State S-Band configurations.

The Maritime Connectivity Platform Consortium (MCC) has been launched this month to bring common internet standards to maritime navigation and transportation systems.

Sperry Marine unveils high-resolution radar

Sperry Marine has unveiled SeaGuard, a high-resolution radar system to improve navigational awareness for operators of very large cruise ships.  

Tallink Grupp is teaming up with maritime start-up Fleetrange and researchers from the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute and Aalto University to test techniques for autonomous navigation.

Dutch multipurpose specialist Spliethoff has integrated ‘nauticAi Map’ mapping service into its sensor-based fleet performance platform.

Furuno’s complete navigation solution has been selected and installed on two new Lindblad and National Geographic cruise ships.
