Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has awarded the planned maintenance contract for its 94m research vessel RV Investigator to Marine Software.

UK-based Marine Software says that it has recently delivered its planned maintenance software to Njord Offshore for its crew transfer vessels Njord Avocet and Njord Kittiwake.

MPM upgrade for Tallink-Silja

UK-based Marine Software Ltd announced that it has delivered an MPM (Marine Planned Maintenance) upgrade to cruise and ferry company Tallink-Silja, for installation on board its Swedish flagged vessels Silja Symphony and Galaxy.

ClassNK, IHI Marine United (IHIMU), Diesel United (DU) and IBM Japan have announced that they will jointly develop a ship maintenance management system, with the aim of helping to reduce ship lifecycle costs.

Cyprus based Mastermind Shipmanagement Ltd, with assistance from software provider SpecTec, is to create a direct interactive link between the Mastermind and MAN Diesel & Turbo AMOS databases.

UK company Marine Software reports that it is to supply its Marine Planned Maintenance software system to Briggs Marine Contractors.
