The number of sites and connectivity services utilising the SES Skala Global Platform has more than doubled year-on-year as an increasing number of global service providers have utilised SES’s managed connectivity services delivered via the platform.

Satcom Global has launched VNO Elite, giving service providers that team up with Satcom Global the opportunity to operate their own VSAT service with flexibility, making changes to their customers’ bandwidth with as little as 24-hour billing increments.

Satcom Global has launched a new maritime VSAT solution that allows vessel managers and owners to make unlimited changes to their onboard connectivity. Customers can upgrade, downgrade and even suspend their service on-demand via a dedicated and secure customer portal, without penalisation.

Satcom Global has added the Eutelsat 174A (E174A) North Pacific and South Pacific satellite beams to its Ku-band Aura VSAT network.

Satcom Global has announced a strategic partnership with software specialist AnsuR Technologies (AnsuR). The collaboration will enable Satcom Global to support its maritime and remote-land based communications customers with access to innovative visual technology.

Satcom Global has announced another extension to its Aura VSAT maritime communications network, with the addition of two new satellite beams: Astra 4a Nordic and SES-12 IOR.

Arklow Shipping the Ireland headquartered shipowner and charterer, has contracted communications solutions provider, Satcom Global, to install Aura VSAT across seventeen new build vessels which will begin delivery in 2021.

Satcom Global strengthens Ku-band VSAT network

Satcom Global has added a new satellite to the Ku-band Aura VSAT network, expanding coverage and capacity across the North Pacific.

Satcom Global has signed a strategic agreement with satellite solution provider Intellian, to take the new C700 Iridium Certus terminal to market. The agreement will see Satcom Global install a significant number of C700 terminals across its global customer base by the end of 2021, as part of an extensive volume commitment.

Singapore based PACC Ship Managers (PaccShip) has chosen to extend its supply relationship with Satcom Global, renewing their contract for Aura VSAT for an additional 3-year period. Satcom Global has supported over 50 PaccShip managed vessels with Ku-band connectivity since 2017, with an additional 5 vessels due to join the Aura network later this year.
