Transas simulators for Korea Coast Guard

Transas Marine has completed a simulator complex for the Korea Coast Guard Academy (KCGA), having developed models for bridge and engine room simulators matching the layout of PV3000 and three other Korea Coast Guard (KCG) vessels.

Resolve Maritime Academy has announced that it has been selected by Norwegian Cruise Line to be its preferred provider of all simulator-based training courses, along with additional safety courses, which are set to begin in February at its facility in Fort Lauderdale (Florida).

Polaris in Mexican R&D facility

Kongsberg Maritime reports that the Instituto Mexicano del Transporte (IMT) is using its Polaris bridge simulator at the research facility it opened in August in Queretaro.

Dutch developer VSTEP has announced that it has signed an agreement with The Maritime Academy of Toledo whereby it will provide new simulators to the Ohio school, which it will use as a demonstration centre.
