DSME to implement NAPA 3D ship design software

Korean shipyard DSME has agreed a deal to use the 3D model-based NAPA Steel software application to manage its vessel design processes, following the completion of a benchmarking evaluation involving multiple vendors.

Saab reports that has been awarded a contract to implement a new marine pilot dispatch system for DanPilot, the Danish State maritime pilotage provider, based on Saab’s PILOTCONTROL system.

CMI agrees IB USA software deal

IB USA, a provider of software systems to the cruise industry, has agreed a deal with Cruise Management International (CMI) to implement the InfoSHIP EVO ship management application package across CMI’s managed fleet.

A new series of four ‘smart’ shuttle tanker concept vessels being developed by Teekay are set to be fitted with Vessel Performance Management software from Wärtsilä subsidiary Eniram, alongside a range of other energy and emissions management systems and machinery, as part of a €110 million deal for Wärtsilä.

Maritime HR software provider Adonis has begun a project with French cruise company Ponant to roll out the Adonis Maritime Suite over the course of 2018 to manage its crewing and payroll operations.

Tanker company EURONAV has agreed a deal to implement the SERTICA fleet management software package by Logimatic on board its fleet of 52 vessels to improve vessel management and streamline maintenance procedures.

Wilhelmsen begins Veracity pilot project

Wilhelmsen has begun one of the first data sharing pilot projects on the DNV GL Veracity open data platform, testing a system to share ship compliance and condition data with port state authorities to reduce paper work and physical inspections when entering ports.

Wärtsilä subsidiary Eniram has signed a five-year service agreement with Corsica Linea to provide real-time performance management systems for the shipping company’s owned and operated fleet of five vessels travelling between Marseille and Corsica.

Scaldis to implement StarIPS on newbuild

Scaldis Salvage and Marine Contractors has agreed a deal with MirTac to implement the StarIPS fleet management system onboard Scaldis’ newbuild heavy lift vessel Gulliver.
