Smart Stabilizer system for Tallink

Cruise and passenger transport company Tallink is to integrate the Pinfabb_ECO Smart Stabilizers software system on board a vessel operating between Sweden and Latvia.

ABS has completed a project with a group of leading Greek shipowners to support preparations for implementing the European Union’s Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) regulation for CO2 emissions.

ABB is to supply its onboard motion monitoring and forecasting system to the Xiang Rui Kou heavy lift vessel, which will complete delivery of the software to the entire Cosco Heavy Transport fleet.

Q88 adds bunker price data

Q88 has agreed a partnership with Ship & Bunker, enabling users of Q88VMS – Q88’s Cloud-based voyage management system – to access Ship & Bunker’s independently sourced bunker price data from within the application.

Weather data company MeteoGroup reports that it has developed its own new tidal currents model for integration into its SPOS Onboard and RouteGuard services.

A collaboration agreement between Hammonia Reederei, a Hamburg-based shipowner, and New Orleans-based charterer Intermarine has seen three sister vessels retrofitted with multiple efficiency technologies which are expected to create 25 per cent fuel savings, to be shared between the two companies.

Wärtsilä has introduced a new set of marine agreement concepts with the launch of ‘Lifecycle solutions’, a package which aims to assist in managing the efficiency and performance of marine assets by combining advisory services with vessel data and digital tools.

Namura Shipbuilding has deployed the ClassNK-NAPA GREEN fleet performance management and optimisation system for one of its newbuilds, the company reports.

Global Navigation Solutions (GNS) has launched its new version of the Voyager Planning Station (VPS), which has been updated to improve interoperability with third party systems, including Applied Weather Technology (AWT) weather routing software and SAM Electronics’ ECDIS.
