eGlobe ECDIS approved in US

The United States Coast Guard, via the US Department of Homeland Security, has issued approval for the eGlobe ECDIS system from ChartWorld.

Chart World describes its eGlobe ECDIS as being part of an ‘ECDIS as a Service’ concept, one module in a package including ENCs (with its Advanced ChartWorld ENC Service (ACES)), customised maintenance and training.

The eGlobe ECDIS can be supplied pre-filled with data and with onboard software tools like ChartBrowser and the UKHO eNavigator, to support automatic route creation, chart ordering, and online updating.

‘Pay As You Sail’ and other emergency chart data services are also available.
