The UK-based company, a business unit of the Electrical and Automation division of India’s Larsen & Toubro, says it has standardised its technology for the naval and specialist ship sectors to provide a commercial-off-the-shelf solution for the commercial shipping industry.
The new systems will be launched at SMM in Hamburg this September.
“We have drawn on our knowledge and expertise to develop three new AMC products – an entry level system to meet the robust demands of the commercial marine market; a bespoke solution for more advanced vessels that need greater electrical and automation integration; and a new marine security and surveillance solution,” said Stafford Williams, Servowatch Systems’ research and development director.
Servowatch CEO Wayne Ross also notes that the development of these new products will help the company build on its existing business serving the naval and luxury mega-yacht markets and apply its technologies on bulk carriers, tankers and containerships.
“We have developed the technology to provide the same functionality and flexibility as our tailor-made solutions but with a greater degree of affordability in mind,” he said.
