Kongsberg donates DP system to research vessel

Kongsberg Maritime has donated and installed its K-Pos dynamic positioning system onboard the R/V Gunnerus, a research vessel owned by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}The vessel conducts a variety of research activities within biology, technology, geology, archaeology, oceanography and fisheries.  It is regularly used for the testing of new technology developed by Kongsberg Maritime and its affiliate Kongsberg Seatex in Trondheim.

“Kongsberg Maritime is always at the forefront of technology development, and we see the donation as a contribution to maintaining a strong and capable university also for the future,” says Geir Håøy, president of Kongsberg Maritime.
