Vroon agrees fleet-wide ChartCo deal

Dutch shipping company Vroon has agreed a deal with ChartCo for the supply of back-of-bridge management software and navigational and compliance data services to its entire fleet of vessels.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}The two companies already had a business relationship stretching back several years, with ChartCo supplying Iver Ships tankers and Livestock Express vessels with digital and paper navigation systems.

The new deal is a result of Vroon’s desire to streamline the supply chain across its various fleets, including offshore-support vessels, to reduce supplier numbers and increase efficiencies.

“Following an important efficiency review project, we identified that we had too many suppliers servicing our business,” said Vroon group purchasing manager, Ron Böseler.

“We undertook to reduce the number of suppliers across the board. In this key area, we found ChartCo offered the most comprehensive range and combination of solutions aligned to our needs. We are delighted to be extending our professional relationship with them, as we continue to invest in digital navigation.”{/mprestriction}
