Norwegian VTS centres upgraded

Kongsberg Norcontrol reports that it has completed an upgrade of the Norwegian Coastal Administration’s five Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Centres, adding its new C-Scope Decision Support technology and intelligent multi-sensor tracking.

    Heng Tong Fuels and Shipping, the Singapore-based subsidiary of Hong Kong’s Coastal Holdings, has installed SEALL ECDIS systems from GNS onboard two vessels, Coastal Jupiter and Coastal Neptune, replacing non-compliant legacy hardware to bring the ships in line with the updated ECDIS standards.

  • Rolls-Royce opens ship intelligence centre in Norway

    Rolls-Royce has opened what it says will be the first in a series of “ship intelligence experience spaces” in Ålesund, Norway, to demonstrate the how the company can apply digital technologies to optimising vessel performance.
