Besides connecting buyers and suppliers, the platform provides sourcing and procurement tools such as ShipServ Match, an automated supplier recommendation service.
Singapore-based Thome is currently responsible for the technical management of over 200 vessels including bulkers, tankers and offshore vessels. It will connect to ShipServ through its current Spectec AMOS system software suite.
Paul Ostergaard, CEO and founder of ShipServ, said: “We are delighted to welcome such a major and progressive ship manager to the ShipServ community and that a key factor in Thome's decision was our recently launched decision support tools that are proven to help purchasers reduce costs and save time."
“We are confident that working with ShipServ will give us the tools we need to ensure our vessels are fully supplied to our specification and at the right cost level,” said Carsten Brix Ostenfeldt, CEO of Thome Ship Management.
