Marorka energy management for UASC

Reykjavik-based Marorka reports that it has signed a contract with United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) to deliver performance monitoring and energy management solutions for the UASC fleet.

Marorka has been working with UASC ‘for some time’, and the shipping company will be employing Marorka energy management solutions on both new builds and existing vessels.

“We have been running Marorka systems on two of our vessels and this decision is based on the results of the trials we have undertaken,” said Waleed Al Dawood, COO at UASC.

“The Marorka Wallboard has delivered verifiable fuel savings and significant eco-efficiency benefits, as well as greater transparency, which is important for our fleet management team. We look forward to working with Marorka to deliver ever higher levels of eco-efficiency for our customers.”

Founded in 1976, UASC is present in more than 75 countries around the world, covering over 200 ports and destinations worldwide. It owns and operates a fleet of 58 ships.
