Krill completes Seacor installation

The Seacor vessel Olmeca The Seacor vessel Olmeca

Krill Systems has announced that it has completed the installation and sea-trial of its Vessel Fuel Measurement and Monitoring System (VFMMS) on the DP-2 PSV supply vessel M/V Seacor ‘Olmeca’, the latest in an ongoing line of installations on the Seacor OSV fleet.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}The system allows for fuel measurement data collection and transmission in real time, for bunker measurement, management and reporting. Coriolis flow-meters were exclusively used in the Seacor installation, which Krill says will maximise the accuracy of measurement of fuel consumption for the ship’s main engines, generators and bunkers.

Krill Systems uses Microsoft SQL server database technology to record sensor data with two-second resolution, including storage capacity of at least one year and an unlimited roll-over capacity.

Any communication system supporting standard SMTP e-mail protocols can be used to transmit the customisable reports measuring fuel efficiency, fuel accountability, fuel quality, fuel logistics and sensor data, to any number of operators.{/mprestriction}
