BOURBON and Kongsberg in strategic partnership

BOURBON and Kongsberg Maritime have signed a collaborative development agreement covering connected and autonomous vessels, with the two companies to work on joint projects to support efficient operations in the offshore services industry.

Kongsberg will assist BOURBON in collecting aggregated data from its vessels to be used to develop new processes, while BOURBON will enable Kongsberg to better understand client operations and provide access to a wide range of data from its fleet, from communication, to cybersecurity, to storage and management of vessel data.

“Digitalisation is vital to achieving greater efficiencies on board single vessels and entire fleets,” said Stene Førsund, EVP global sales and marketing, Kongsberg Maritime.

“By working closely with leading offshore marine companies like Bourbon, we can ensure our solutions meet the data needs of the industry today, while building a foundation for greater vessel autonomy in the future.”{/mprestriction}
