Korean Register (KR) has released the latest version of its KR-CON software for surveyors, shipbuilders and PSC officers, with the new launch of the 16th version of the application.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}First introduced in May 1997, the software program allows users to search for IMO instruments, with all IMO conventions, codes, resolutions and circulars first made available through the system on a CD-ROM.

KR-CON has been revised and updated 15 times since its initial release, and is now available in English, Korean and Chinese and can be accessed on USB, via the web, or using a mobile application.

The latest version includes an improved Cloud function that enables users to access the most up-to-date IMO Convention database regardless of their location.

The most recent amendments adopted at the 98th MSC (Maritime Safety Committee), the 71st MEPC (Maritime Environment Protection Committee), SOLAS (International convention for the safety of life at sea), MARPOL (Marine Pollution Treaty) and IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code are all included, KR says.{/mprestriction}
