Lady A gets software for her purchasing

UK-based Marine Software Ltd reports that it has completed the installation of its Marine Purchasing (MPSWin) package for the superyacht Lady A, to add to the existing Marine Planned Maintenance (MPMWin) system already in use.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}Lady A’s ship manager Amsail has installed the office package of the software, which will work with Marine Software’s Cloud-based data replication service (ADR) to allow those on shore to monitor planned maintenance activities, control spending budgets and provide purchase order authorisations.

Originally built in 1986 by Sterling Yachts in Japan, the 55-metre vessel has recently undergone a major 10-month refit by her British owner, Lord Sugar.

“Amsail originally chose Marine Software's Marine Planned Maintenance product (MPMWin), as it suited the needs of the yacht and was simple to use and learn,” said Amsail, in a statement.

“Since then, we have added the Marine Purchasing system (MPSWin) and currently use Marine Software’s Cloud-based data exchange service for ship/shore data replication.”

“The crew recently undertook a training course at Marine Software’s offices, which was found to be well run and at a pace that all crew could benefit from.”{/mprestriction}
