Norwegian company VesselMan reports that it has teamed up with classification society DNV GL to integrate DNV GL’s Best Practices for dry-docking into the VesselMan Cloud-based system for management of maintenance projects.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}“By combining DNV GL’s broad knowledge and experience with dry-docking processes and VesselMan’s Cloud-based management system, we are offering a more professionalised and modern approach to dry-dock management making ship-owners and operators better equipped to plan and execute their dry-dockings in future,” said Bjørn Berger, head of department, maritime advisory, DNV GL.

DNV GL has built up a dry-docking standard covering multiple ship types, and its Best Practices will now be incorporated into VesselMan’s system as templates with digital checklists for every step of the dry-docking process.

“We are very proud of this partnership. VesselMan provides a full overview of the entire fleet and enables an effective and transparent collaboration between management, customers, yards, suppliers and site-team during the dry-docking process,” said Glenn Edvardsen, CEO of VesselMan.

“Having DNV GL Best Practices available ‘out of the box’ on our platform, clients will have a robust and unique tool that can easily be adapted into modern digital management operations – and as such, with great potential for cost reductions.”{/mprestriction}
